CEO's in general are not geeks and/or don't have the time/inclination to play with their phones. Simple, reliable, fast. iPhone makes sense as top choice in this group. I'm sure when you go one or two levels lower in a tech organisation the affection for Android will grow.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is an excellent phone, and if rumors are to be believed, the new iPhone will follow suit with a bigger screen.
I have an issue with apple as we do not have full access (legitimate through our own app store) to games and music. If I pay for a product I want access to all its features.

I'm surprised a CTO has a blackberry and not a Android? Maybe he needs to use a blackberry to help support all the problems users have :)

8ta head, Amith Maharaj is currently using a Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Vodacom CEO, Pieter Uys is currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note

MTN South Africa CEO, Karel Pienaar’s love for Apple’s iPhone is no secret

Cell C CEO, Alan Knott-Craig is also an iPhone fan

which means that three of the four top dogs in the SA mobile arena carry the popular Apple smartphone.

if by top dogs they mean the CEO's, then somebody got the maths wrong
