Again, something that sets SA apart from all other countries.... we have a collapsing economy. We have investors fleeing en masse, the biggest outflow of foreign investments in South Africa's history. Then there are the unanswered few points that still needs to be addresses after the elections, any of which could and probably will collapse the economy - NHI, EWC, Nationalizing SARB.
That's why I mentioned uncertainty. Business confidence will improve after elections.

How does this work then?

Business confidence will pick up only if the economy grows and consumers spend more money. Problem is, this is not very likely, even after the elections and before the outstanding issues are addressed by the ANC - whatever their decisions will be - one way or the other. Then only will we be seeing any change, for the good or worse.

more doom and gloom, but he is right in what he is saying.
I kinda don't like Lew aka (Rooster) sentiments but he isn't far of the mark. The fact is that everything the ANC touches turns to ****. I don't trust them to change the toilet paper in a toilet, never mind the countries constitution. Their past history shows their future behavior. It might take a while for the country to go down the shitter but it definitely on the cards. They don't care about anyone but themselves. As long as they have their Swiss bank accounts and a full trough. They don't give a **** what happens to the country. Hopefully it takes at 3-5 to totally **** things up but I'm think sooner. I mean this is the ANC after all.

so them now going around "begging" for votes, and saying we the anc have made mistakes, and deserve a second chance to redeem ourselves.
is all just a lie, in order to hand out free t-shirts and buckets of KFC?

dont you think some people who are a bit better educated and have access to the internet, and can reason reasonably well.

will just see through the lies, and vote the ANC out of power?

I work with a lot of well to do Black People and most of them are voting ANC. They feel it is in their best interest to vote ANC. I'd like to think differently but major elections in the last 20 years haven't really changed much. DA is terrible at campaigning and are focused on all the wrong issues.

Yep, DA's best effort is that they aren't the ANC. Imaginative.....

All the people thinking that all is good for businesses in the People's Republik of South Africa should listen to this podcast:
It is difficult to run a business in South Africa. While trying to appeal to a market is hard enough, entrepreneurs have to deal with many ancillary issues as well.

From employee competence, union demands, bargaining councils and xenophobia - being an entrepreneur is daunting, difficult and no-one will stand up for you.

This is the story of Kevin Freese.

Yip exactly.. I think people who claim the whole socialist thing is destroying the world have no clue how on how societies work but such is life. Perhaps they should go live in the US and then not whine when the entire thing collapse when they about to retire. In the end though, with an SA context, the issue in SA is not that but the rampant corruption and spending which is out of line with where the country finds itself in combination with other factors. This is why i really think Sa should be left to fail economically such that there can begin a purge which will either end in political elite being killed or mass being slaughtered and status quo continuing with abject poverty.. but this teetering on the brink serves no one.

"Wishful" only has one "l" by the way. If you want to succeed in this high IQ world, you need to remember this.

Nope. On my shorthand keyboard, the machine does the writing/spelling. Most of the time all is just fine and if not, you are next in line. Thank you for helping. Next time use the PM function. Unless there us nothing better for you to say regarding the topic.

Honestly, we all knew South Africa will go down the drain. The surprise came in the speed at which it all happened.

You post racially charged garbage most times. Perhaps you should use your own advice?
