South Africa’s cyber security deal with China is concerning: DA

The recently signed Cyber Security Pact with China is cause for concern about South Africa’s attitude towards restrictions on Internet freedom, the DA says.

I seriously think govt. as has no idea what they are signing with all these agreements, most likely exactly like the USA Chicken deal. They just see some money under the table or "investment" being promised and then sign whatever these countries put forth.

The plan calls for launching a constellation of 4,000 small and cheap satellites that would beam high-speed Internet signals to all parts of the globe, including its most remote regions. Musk has said the effort “would be like rebuilding the Internet in space.”

Hopefully this comes off then we can give our government the finger.

Thank god for the DA, I know they can only do so much and often the ANC just ignores them, but honestly what would the country be like today without them..

With the ANC majority so high, all the DA can do is moan about things. They aren't making any real change to what goes on in Parliament.
