They never will. I doubt even the MDC will when they eventually take power.
I think it is too late for many farmers now? Too much water under the bridge so to speak, although I am sure in certain circumstances there are farmers who would gladly return to their land if they could.
The thing is would they want to return, seeing that a century of farming input has been destroyed in less than a decade.
It would be like starting from scratch?

However I see and hear that the Zimbabwean Agricultural land is of high quality, so for someone to restart with farming may not theoretically speaking be too difficult.
One just wonders though about a stable Electricity Supply for pump water, fuel for equipment, parts and maintenance on vehicles and equipment, not to mention fresh seed requirement to restart a crop. These are all mission critical for a Farming Operation to work.

Farming in Zimbabwe will be extremely risky. And what is to say once you produce a good crop that the Government does not come along and make a whole bunch of demands in regards to distribution and price.

Zimbabwe police defy court, remove activists

Zimbabwe police defy court, remove activists

Here we are giving a country R300 Million of our hard earned money and they can't even obey a Court Order?

No matter how much SA or the SA Government tries to explain, why are we giving money to a bunch of anarchists who cant even follow the rule of law.
They will never appreciate this money.

XMas pressies for Robert Mugabe I say.

Hey, you South Africans should worry less about Zimbabwe and more about your own future/farms ! ! ! Did you bother to listen what commarade Zuma had to say on the 16th in Bloemfontein? All the South African war veterans (MK) will receive a state grant as soon as Mr. Zuma becomes president. Of course the war veterans must help to speed up land redistributions and ensure that the democracy/Anc will prosper in South Africa,no matter what it takes ! ! ! hmmm . . . Where did I hear this before ? I believe the 'Commandos' have been disbande last year already. I hope if I visit SA in 2015, will be better of then Zim is today :(

Confused?

This has already happened as far as I know?
All the MK veterans were incorporated into the SANDF. Not sure how this all works, but from the little I know about the matter the MK Veterans had to complete a 10 year stint and then they were eligible for a Military Pension?

If this was the case, many of these veterans are now on Pension?

The Commandos were a voluntary, part-time force of the South African Army. Each Commando is responsible for the safeguarding and protection of a specific community (both rural or urban). AFAIK this unit has been disbanded?

Mr Zuma is a politician and like most politicians they promise a lot.
I do believe him about Land Redistribution, but then this is nothing new?

Not all MK's have been included in the SANDF/SAPS ! There is a group of MK in Natal who are very disgruntled because they've been 'left out'. And no, the war veterans do not get any 'special' subsidy as of today. Mr. Zuma will 'redress' this situation as soon as he takes what is lawfully his. The war veterans have given so much to this country and now, once again, their services are needed. The whites posses most of the arable land and don't want to give it back. With commarade Zuma's guidance the wealth of this country will be divided among ALL the people :D

Ladies and Gentlemen, Zimbabwe does need aid, and a Zim proplem is a South African problem. We can not allow "in our lifetime" our brothers & sisters to die of disease and hunger, even if they have voted for Mugabe or supported him.

Remember, that we also made the same mistakes, supporting racial polies and subjected other races to monkey status. I would like to believe that most people who supported Apartheid policies were also brainwashed. Our Medical Centres are constrained, suffering through diseases of the people of Zimbabwe will further put a strain on our health facilities. If the state of Zimbabwe continues to collapse, we will further have a continued influx of undocumented persons within our borders.

As long as Mugabe is supported by Army Generals, there is nothing that can really be done. Even if Mugabe dies, Zimbabwe will become a millitary state. SANDF cannot really do anything, if not to embarass itself at fronts with ZIm forces, our overweight, disease ridden soldiers cannot competitively combat Zim soldiers. Any millitary effort by African states will lead to bloody war spiralling several Southern countries, this event could be termed the "1st AFRICAN WAR". Let's not forget that Zim is one of the best equipped "Millitarily Speaking" countries in Africa, their competiveness were evident when they helped a coup by Laurent Kabila. In addition to what they already have, Zimbabwe received 53 tons of ammunition reportedly from China. If a total collapse of Zimbabwe happens, where do you think that all these weapons will go? South Africa?

With comrade zuma's guidance, this country will go down. Divide the wealth amongst ALL the people? So those that work hard must share their hard earned earnings for those who choose to sit around and do nothing? I don't mind my taxes going to social upliftment, etc but your words smack of communism and not a true democracy.

It only takes a few good men ( or women ) to stand still and do nothing for tyranny to survive. We have tried the diplomatic route, for years. They even had an election where the MDC won and yet the despot continues to reign.

I'm sorry to say but a military option is the only one left. It worked for Germany ( the second time I'll admit ) and it would need to work for here too. Similar scenario: brain washed public , "strong" military force. I admit theres no concentration camps but if you watch the TV, can anyone question the fact that people are suffering and dying.

I believe this was sarcasm meant to read the wealth would be divided amongst the ANC cronies, just as it's done now.
