SA govt. admits spy satellite project exists

Don't know if it "exists", "existed" would be more appropriate as from the AG's reply it seems it was cancelled and a R115M expense incurred thereby.

In any event it seems SA's "eye in the sky" is more akin to "pie in the sky", typical of the ANC.

Typical ANC this thing will blow up - or we'll find out that it was infact only a remote control drone purchased for R1000 the rest of the cash went to Zuma..

They can't even play "I spy" because they first need to find the thing! It might be that pointy thing that no one knows about or know what the hell it is!

Curious name, Project Flute. This one time, at band camp...

Most of the time the name is chosen from a random list they are given. Someone once told me they started that after Operation Pebles - a join Army-Airforce op to monitor border safety in the early 90's. The name was chosen because the tactics used would be the same as dropping a pebble in a pool of water, and watching the waves that were formed.
Problem was - the very Afrikaans officer that drafted the documentation can like to not know how to spell Pebbles.
Not making this up. :p
