I'm glad it worked out for you, but so far I've just seen a lot of them especially officers are egotistical douche bags, who if you are not good enough in their eyes you wont get any help, they also like bad mouthing everyone they deem "unworthy", they will not help you unless its worth it to them, their 1 raid they rage quit because some guys had made mistakes and they are "mythic" raiders and don't wipe, regardless if its your 1st time there.

When they are on alts and need help on m+ you are good enough but when on their mains they will never help you. Nothing you ever do will be good enough it seems, but if you suck up enough and become part of the "clique" you are good, there are however a ton of good members the ****ty leadership just over shadows them.

The whole “unworthy” part could be due to us never boosting anyone, we believe if you want to join our Mythic Raiding team you have to work for it and if you work for it then we will assist you, but we will never carry or boost anyone. This could also be where the “Elitist” vibe comes from, we could maybe work on being a bit gentler when speaking to people about their performance. I will mention this in the Officers chat.
Please do understand that any large community has it’s “cliques” this is just how society works, you raid/dungeon/pvp with people you get along with. We do try host more community events and I guess we could work harder on that. This will also be mentioned to the officers.

Thank you for your response, unfortunately this was not just judged on one raid, but in general the feeling I've had ever since i joined. Also being part of the Facebook groups i have also seen a lot of things i find overstepping boundaries, going into someone's personal profile and telling him he has no GF and doesn't own a company is why he shouldn't run a guild, this seems very professional don't you think?

I do understand your comment surrounding boosting anyone, and I 100% agree. But i also know for a fact that sometimes runs were dun with lower geared people in the "clique" so does this not count as boosting? Also I've run multiple keys on pugs and low level and never got asked/offered and even when i asked for help on a key got no help. All I'm saying is "What's good for the goose is good for the gander". I understand that a "clique" has its own discretion but it mostly consists of the mythic team that were highly geared, i did not join a guild just to have to go pug everything myself anyway, kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it?

When i was running low keys and happy to make it and link it or link my dps, all i got is " is that all you got, blah blah blah". Instead of giving someone stick about his dps or his skills how about rather trying to help him improve, or giving pointers? Or at least give me stick, but afterwards chat to me and try help me?

Unfortunately in fear of victimization i will not be adding anyone to my battle tag, ill just try and see if i can improve and find some people who are willing to help and learn with me. I just find it demoralizing when i log in and think i would like to run a few dungeons or raids but need to go through pugs.

We as the officers are doing an investigation about this matter and will treat it with the attention it deserves. Thank you for your response, I respect that you wish to stay in the dark about who you are. That however does limit our ability to manage this issue, we need more details. I do ask if you wouldn't mind sending me a pm on mybroadband, so we do not spam this thread.

thats disgusting, and fully reportable! However its tough to judge a guild by what their members get up to. What you can judge them on his how they react to someone doing this

It can be struggle to find a place you are comfortable with, i really hope you do find a guild that suits your needs

I started on Stormrage [US] and helped form the guild "Awakened Guardians" (or AG as we liked to call it). I played with @Conack back in the day (assuing this is the same Conack ) - it's Evandaar BTW
Anyway, on to what I wanted to ask - another WoW buddy of mine (Kahira from Stormrage), suggested we start characters on Alonsus [EU] (since I was looking to move back to Alliance for BfA) because a couple of old WoW buddies had a guild there - so my question is, are there any active ZA guilds on Alonsus (EU)? My searches have not been fruitful.

Where are you guys playing these days, assuming you still WoW? Unfortunately, myself and two friends have already rolled chars on Alonsus and are not looking to transfer them unless they are free ofc .. sooo holding thumbs

Gave up the old poison in favour of rather picking up and playing a new decent 4+ player game every month or two. Monthly sub is about the same as many of these games and I feel like I'm getting more varied gaming experiences / bang for buck, plus don't feel compelled to play like with WoW..

Dying light, Forest, Overcooked 2, Division, Vermintide, Strange Brigade - all could be had for pretty cheap on sale.
Do miss all the old WoW folks though and really considered doing Bofh, but there's just too many awesome games on the horizon like Anthem, RedDead, Metro, Cyberpunk, Fallout, etc

Keeping this thread going for people googling for guilds though.

I can honestly say that Immortal Chaos on The Maelstrom is the best guild I have ever been in. All members I have encountered have always been more than happy to assist in any way they can and the members are friendly.

We have a lot of guys who enjoy banter and I can honestly say the guild isn’t for the feint hearted but everyone knows this when signing up to be a part of the guild. We are never disrespectful to people though and if someone approaches any of the officers with an issue, the officers always sort it out in a suitable manner.

Immortal Chaos for life! Best South African guild ever!

I have now asked my entire guild in discord to react to this message and they all seem to be shocked to hear of this and nobody knows where this is coming from. We as a guild and the officers in this guild work our butts off to promote and improve the guild. This is now becoming pathetic and I feel like this person is just trying to tarnish our name.

I am one of the Head Officers of Immortal Chaos and this person is destroying a reputable name with his fake news. So from now on, I will not take anything he says seriously without proof.

I have been a part of IC since March this year. While there is banter and ribbing each other, I have not experienced anything as bad as described above. Many long time members in the guild are always willing to help a new member/guildmates.

I don't think that the guild should be judged in it's entirety on one member's comment and if the above event did in fact happen, it should be reported to the officers, not posted about on a public forum.

Immortal Chaos is a friendly and very well run guild and I would not think of going anywhere else.

If the "Jik" thing was directed at someone with malicious intent it will be handled accordingly. Unfortunately WordtotheWise likes to be anonymous and will not come out and help us address any issues. So please, I implore anyone to take things with a pinch of salt said about this guild as there are petty people trying to smear the name of the best and most welcoming South African guild. We are a great bunch of guys and girls from all walks of life. We all come together and work through any problems we may have and to achieve our goals. We are in a good spot with raiding at the moment with 3 raid teams. I invite anyone to come see how we operate. Been in IC since a month before BFA launch. Everyone has been pretty great, and no point have i ever been victimized.

Guild running mythics was fun, and they have 3 raid teams (Mythic, HC and social). So if you struggling to find a place for yourself, Im not sure any guild would work for you.

Just wanna say thanks to the leaders for running such an awesome guild. Especially to the Team 2 raid leaders for hosting a smooth raid, and being so helpful and understanding. Looking forward to Sunday boys!

I am one of the newer members to this guild, I joined back in April 2018 and do not regret my decision I made to join them as all of them are awesome people and always willing to help each other and work together building a guild with just South African players which is pretty awesome. Yes there will be banter and jokes going around in guild and even on Discord.

Regarding to what @WordtotheWise said I must call it Bullshit either this guy is trolling or he is purely just jealous of the community and guild that Immortal Chaos has build. So without any proof of this I won't entertain his comments as I feel its just to get attention or he is just upset for losing some of his Guild members/friends that might have joined Immortal Chaos.

Not sure if you will remember me but I was also part of the original raid team in Awakened Guardians. Use to play a NE rogue called Hitokiri. If you and friends ever feel like joining another SA guild, and dont mind a server transfer, I would highly suggest coming to join Immortal Chaos over on The maelstrom sever. I've been with them since my long time guild "Unforgiven" broke up. The guild currently has 3 raid teams and is also looking at getting some serious pvp done.

From reading through this thread I see that there have been some concerns raised about the officers in the guild, but from my personal experience I have not encountered any of these issues. The officers are all friendly, super helpful and respectful. This includes one very special officer that is still jelly of me getting the Aman'thuls trinket in Argus.

If you are not looking at changing servers then you can always join us for some social raid runs, mythic plus or pvp. Just send me a pm and I can organise you an invitation to our community. Its always nice to play with more SA peeps.

I am a raider with Immortal Chaos and i would not be playing wow if it was not for this guild.

It is a extremely well managed, fair and respectable environment. Our discord is one of the best organised and informative discords i have ever seen - with constant tactical discussions, spreadsheets, class discussions, role discussions, you fokkin name it.

Death threats is a serious offence, If you find it that unacceptable/toxic why not name and shame the guy who made such a vulgar statement. I refuse to stand idly by while the best PVE Guild in SA's name is being defamed over hearsay. Back up with proof or names or please man up and retract your comment.
