Poorer people, poorer country. Only prospering people can afford to pay tax. Who said anything about socialism? Do you know about humanism.

Do you know that we are dictated by artificial constructs created by old foolish men, we update our drivers on a daily basis but you are programmed to think we cannot upgrade on our capitalistic systems.

If it's not working were probably doing something wrong, especially if you look at the value of money is always declining. Why a penny was worth like R10 or more in today's money. So what are we doing wrong that the value of a currency is always devalued by inflation and when do we stop repeating the same errors?

So we just leave it until it reaches level Zimbabwe where a bread cost R1 000 000 lol

Think outside your box.

Want to turn around the economic decline, then start by eradicating poverty.
It's nice to say stuff like turning around economic decline by eradicating poverty, but do you even understand how this works? How to eradicate poverty?

You eradicate poverty by creating wealth. Building stuff. People can do this on their own if they have the freedom to do it. Most people like having nice stuff so they'll work hard to have nice stuff and create nice stuff if the conditions allow it.

Having an ineffective and corrupt government distribute the bit of wealth that the "rich" have created for themselves is ineffective as people can spend money better than government, who only enriches a few corrupt governments officials. Who then doesn't create the same amount of jobs as the rich business men. So everyone is worse of.

Government's control only destroys wealth through waste and mismanagement.

You need economic growth, and the rising tide will lift all boats. You need a business friendly environment, and protection of property rights.

When they say think outside the box there is still a huge reliance on thinking. Simply ignoring lower treasury revenue and higher unemployment with the resulting decline in VAT revenue will not eradicate poverty.

What he said is true. Be rich, but let the tax man see you as poor. J. Paul Getty was very rich but he put in a trust fund. That reduced his tax burden but he could hardly spend.

Here its easy to be rich. Invest in some gold bricks, US dollars, investment collections ie stamps and art (Pierneef, Irma Stern). That doesnt attract tax the way the taxman can go after your other items. And you can take it offshore without heavy tax burdens.

So what will happen. The country will either get fed up and split or a lot of wealthier people will pack up their bags and leave. Just look at how many of our billionaires have decided to move things offshore. To be honest I am thinking to move to the US or Singapore for good. Thats more taxes gone

Yeah and why don't people have opportunity and a certain future in SA.

This is how socialist fskup everything everywhere they go. They flee the problem they create just to go and create the same problems somewhere else.
He literally said better opportunity and a more certain future. I’m not sure how wanting this makes someone a socialist.

It should solve the madness as people won't just be "surviving" but "living".
that is the thing....unless the "madness" is addressed..., no matter the toys/environment you throw at the problem.. our singular core programming needs attention ...when facets start understanding their impact on the whole.. solutions will flow...that new world starts emerging,
