The decision by the South African Reserve Bank to increase the the repo rate by 25 basis points is bad news for consumers and is going to add significantly to the debt burden.

Not convinced. If you look at VBS they are well aware of the struggles of ordinary people. Politicians are ensuring they will never be ordinary and have to face those struggles.
