Anyway, more on topic, I am sure I saw a doccie that says that in the future we may be eating such for our own protein.

Your future generation won't mind them if they grow up with maggots in their plates. Few centuries ago, maggots in meat were just unintended condiments.

Quality control in the uk, specifically in smaller towns north is slightly lacking.

In short, maggots have been part of our diet for a while. We just never noticed.:):D
