ANC conveniently forgets the vast majority of the finances while in exile came from Western countries (Nordic countries to mention supported hugely regards non military support.) , Military from USSR and other Warsaw countries some who now belong to NATO. Astounding the number of ANC cadres who wave around degrees, diploma's etc from Western institutions when in exile. Tambo along with other senior leaders in exile were based in UK up until 1990.
Yes, but what point are you making in relation to the Russia/Ukraine standoff and South Africa's stance on the conflict?

By this logic, assuming we got our degrees from SA institutions, do we owe this debt to AFRICA forever ? Or are these also western institutions since we mostly take education in English?

Why would they remember? That was just money stupid westerners invested in their own destruction.

We are already battling to deliver products due to the global component shortage. I'm literally taking orders for delivery in 2023 at the moment. Can kiss any commission goodbye that I would have made this year.

And then this kak comes along.

The ongoing geopolitical tussle between Russia and Ukraine is likely to have another casualty – the semiconductor chip. Palladium and neon are two resources that are key to the production of semiconductor chips.

Given that Russia supplies over 40 per cent of the world’s supply of palladium and Ukraine produces 70 per cent of the global supply of neon, we can expect the global chip shortage to worsen should the military conflict persist, Tim Uy, of Moody's Analytics wrote in a recent report.

That's 100% true. However, it's not the same as "devastating sanctions".
It is a sanction of sort if there's no investment, or divestment, based on some principle rather than any other solid reasoning. Just not on the scale that Russia is seeing it...

Major difference this time.... explosive combo of whte, not Russian and not Muslim..... the other people of the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe did not matter.... these one's are very important the other one's were trash no one cared about.

The leftists being racist and bigoted basically.

yeah, been seeing a lot of things from muslim peeps asking why all the care all of a sudden when millions of muslims have been killed in the fast few years by invading forces.

Need for ‘clear, unified’ response on Ukraine: Biden to Ramaphosa

The White House has released more details on the call between Biden and his South African counterpart Cyril Ramaphosa.

Biden reportedly initiated the call after South Africa abstained in the vote to suspend Russia from the Human Rights Council.

According to the statement, Biden stressed “the need for a clear, unified international response to Russian aggression in Ukraine” and emphasised the “global challenges” created by the invasion.

Ramaphosa said on Friday he had had a “productive” call with Biden. “We shared views on the conflict in Ukraine and agreed on the need for a ceasefire and dialogue between Russia and Ukraine,’ he wrote on Twitter.

South Africa was one of 58 countries that abstained in the vote on Russia.

the US gives them a lot of weapons, including their Nukes. Imran Khan might change his tune soon.
Trump stopped that. The US have them millions in aid and assistance in Afghanistan, something like $150 million annually but stopped around 2017/2018
