What do you expect will happen? US will bomb SA ? Or sanctions?

Nothing will happen.

Last week Biden admitted a new world order has taken over the world. He also admitted that the US must try and lead this New World Order, which will obviously not happen. He still does not really understand that the US and the West has been defeated by the East.

Biden is treading carefully as he is scared that the East / new world leaders may very well sanction and exclude the West in future.

US & West has been defeated by East? I am glad that you are returned back to your previous levels. Not that your brief fictional positivity was not entertaining but this is good.

We're not really there yet. China is doing their very best to stop themselves from succeeding with the hard lockdowns in Shanghai.

Russia calls for integrating BRICS payment systems

April 9 (Reuters) - Russia, hit by Western sanctions, has called on the BRICS group of emerging economies to extend the use of national currencies and integrate payment systems, the finance ministry said on Saturday.

Sanctions have cut Russia off from the global financial system and from nearly half of its gold and foreign exchange reserves, which stood at $606.5 billion in early April.

On Friday, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told a ministerial meeting with BRICS, which consists of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, that the global economic situation had worsened substantially due to the sanctions, the ministry's statement said.

The new sanctions also destroy the foundation of the existing international monetary and financial system based on the U.S. dollar, Siluanov said.

"This pushes us to the need to speed up work in the following areas: the use of national currencies for export-import operations, the integration of payment systems and cards, our own financial messaging system and the creation of an independent BRICS rating agency," Siluanov said.

International payment cards Visa and MasterCard suspended operations in Russia in early March and Russia's biggest banks have lost access to the SWIFT global banking messaging system.

Russia set up its own banking messaging system, known as SPFS, as an alternative to SWIFT. Its own card payment system MIR began operating in 2015.

They were part of Moscow's efforts to develop homegrown financial tools to mirror Western ones, to protect the country in case penalties against Moscow were broadened.

The finance ministry said BRICS ministers have confirmed the importance of cooperation in efforts to stabilise the current economic situation.

"The current crisis is man-made, and the BRICS countries have all necessary tools to mitigate its consequences for their economies and the global economy as a whole," Siluanov said.

We can get rid of our useless military force. Less salaries to pay. We should send our whole military in. Including the Vets and the Reservests...That would show them.
Keep the old SADF reservists to patrol our northern border. Price of ciggies may go up, but vehicle and stock theft will decline. Also CIT heists. :giggle:

SA not taking sheet from the western powers anymore.
Tbh, I have to chuckle.

I wish we could role-play this scenario exactly, as I believe it would yield some conclusive answers:
ZA agrees with the US. Sanction RU totally. Wings all trade to CN that would have gone to RU. Using the combined power of that trade, gets extra discounts to swing more trade, including US to CN.

What call can ZA expect next?

Perhaps we need to ask two other questions leading to many other questions:
-Who has been benefiting financially with all the weapons orders in the Eu of late? Why did the US ignore advice on the issue from it's own recognized political analysts?
-What happened to the trans-Atalantic "trade war" that saw US conglomorates get slapped in the Eu, ignored int he US. Yet Eu conglomerates causing as much harm get off literally scott free, taken to task in the US. The opposite on on the financial sector side? Huawei accused of malware by the US (Cisco), forcing the EU to drop them (Cisco caught planting special export firmware doing what Huawei was accused of).

Anybody thinking the US govt concerns has anything to do with the people of Ukraine ... I have a bridge to sell you. The US will support me if I channel it through them. $$$$

You overestimate his role and power. "Am I allowed to say it?", he asked while looking to his left.
