You left out the western funded coup that broke Ukraine's democracy and started the whole mess....
I would love for the US to squash Putin like the bug he is. But alas, commercially its not viable, let alone the fact that there is the potential for Russia's allies to also join in. Although in an all-out war between the US and her allies and Russia and it's allies - we all know it ends - with a new US State being declared right on top of the Kremlin's gate![]()
That election was absolutely not democratic...only one side of a civil war was allowed to participate.Followed by a democratic election.
Hey how was Russian founded? USSR was illegally founded, a coup. Russia?
We can all look back at history and ask stupid questions.
That's not true. Only certain parts of Donbas and Luhansk Oblasts didn't vote. I'd wager over 50% of the regions voted. That election was absolutely not democratic...only one side of a civil war was allowed to participate.
No Parties or voters allowed from the Russian speaking regions.

It would not have made a difference.
LOL, so just because in your opinion it made no difference, it was okay to deny them to participate
It's you who has to prove that a war of aggression is necessary in this context.
Good.Weakening Russia and making her a burden and a source of instability for China would be a US objective.
no, I'm not the one that said that preventing people to vote in a so called democracy made no difference, thats you
I don't have to prove anything about a war of aggression, I didn't make any claims to that effect
You're right. His economy is in a shambles, brought on by his own doing.Oh no.... you do not get away that easily. He is right. His economy is in shambles. It must be integrated and soon too.
In response to what Russians are doing on Ukrainian territory. You have to show that Russian aggression is justified. Now justify it.
Is it fair to assume you think it's justified because you think Ukraine did not have a democratic election last time?
Sounds like you are describing Russian electionsThat election was absolutely not democratic...only one side of a civil war was allowed to participate.
No Parties or voters allowed from the Russian speaking regions.
I don't have to justify anything, I made no claims, you are desperately relying on a strawman to deflect from the contradiction in your claim
maybe look at my post on the first page of this thread before you make silly assumptions
The Ukrainian government and their allied Azov (neonazi) militias have bombed, mamed, raped and killed thousands of Russian speaking Ukrainians in the East of their country since 2014 and nobody in the West or media batted an eylid.
I have little sympathy for the Ukrainian regime and cry baby Zelenskyy and his demanding theatrics.
They got what was coming.
They were warned.
You typed, in response to SFA,
we don't talk about that around here, we only focus on the here and now
Could you explain what you meant by this?
I meant exactly what I said, but keep deflecting from your democracy comment.
