I'm mistaken, perjury relates to a judicial process. But lying to parliament can still be a criminal offence in the form of fraud. It's kind of how Yengeni went to jail.

He could shuffle Simelane because it wasn't proven that she lied. She gave some BS excuse, but the whole thing is still under investigation...

Doubt he'll remove her. The man doesn't act for governance. Her lies here prove she's up to **** to begin with which begs the question what other **** she's likely up to. This action here is ANCsque so he won' remove her if he can get away with it. The ANC use the likes of SETA to saturate in their useless cadres and other assorted cronies. That model has failed not sure why they continue with SETAs, let private companies do their training and development.

Cos private companies doing their training and development limit the scope for fleecing the fiscus and of course also might be effective and we can't have that.
 
But I very much doubt Squirrel will remove her, at best he'll shuffle cabinet again to move her on from this position to "alleviate" the issue, rather than actually deal with.

Kicking the can down the road is Squirrels primary skillset these days.
