SA radio stations make me hate driving.

The only time I listen to the radio is when I'm driving.

Even Darren Simpson has become unbearable to listen to.

I hate the small talk, the stupid voice notes that play on air and just the incredibly stupid small talk.

Why are they even talking so bloody much? Just shut up and play music.

News every hour.

I don't need to be reminded about how many people have unfortunately passed away from covid, how ****ed up our country is & how the politically connected continuously get away with everything.

Then there is the music selection.

5fm plays a lot of local kak I am not into.

I only enjoy a select few SA artists.

Kfm plays new & old kak. Even worse Mariah & Celine Dion.

Smile I don't even bother listening to. They have 80s music continuously playing.

I listen to podcasts & Spotify when I'm at home.

I honestly hate listening to SA radio.

If you have the Internet, why would you torture yourself with SA radio?

My car unfortunately cannot be linked to Spotify.

The radio is old & Spotify doesn't play through Bluetooth.

My car has a usb slot but I unfortunately can't find everything on my Spotify playlist.

I have a Swift. Is it possible to install an Android type unit to my car?

Else install a cheap unit with an aux input and connect your phone with a headphone/aux cable.

My radio looks like this.

I cannot find a replacement housing or anybody to install it locally.

I would like an android auto unit & my steering wheel controls to still work.

Any help is appreciated.

My ears will be grateful. images (3).jpeg

I hate the radio, too. Which is why when I am driving it is off, 100% of the time. I don't even listen to music or anything on it.

This sounds like a You problem, also your own fault.

Alternative, use Spotify or one of the many free service's that will give you instant access to as near as makes no difference every podcast in the world ever.

Grab yourself a pair of <R300 Bluetooth earphones for in the car when you want to listen to your phone, can make calls and things as well.

3.5mm jack > usb adaptor, will that not work. Assuming your phone has 3.5mm headphone jack.

It doesn't on the Swift radio unfortunately.
I talk under correction, but That is interesting as it is not so much your radio that should do anything. All your car radio has to do is pickup the Bluetooth signal.

Otherwise Nulaxy FM transmitter is worth it and amazon delivers pretty quick. I paid I think R725 back in the day to import. Think it was when Zuma was head of the gold pot. So think it is cheaper now. But worth it.

You just find the quietest radio channel on your radio. Put radio volume on 80%. Put the FM transmitter on 28 volume. Put your Phone Bluetooth or Aux Volume on Full. Match the Nulaxy frequency with radio.

Magic.

Edit: Now works out R550 to my front door, here on the 15th.

Eish brah, this is not the economy we talking about. Give 'em break and see if you can help solve the problem first. :X3:
I made a suggestion, aaaaaand complaining about something you do that you know upsets you is not only your own fault but repeating it is the definition of insanity.

Like people who live on social media to complain about it.

Bluetooth is available. Not sure why you muck about with local radio. Youtube Music Supermix ftw!
