Else install a cheap unit with an aux input and connect your phone with a headphone/aux cable.

I was advised to do this, it works well. Cost +/- R300

uhhm yes radio is there for people to listen to some dj talking, news and some music.
If your want to listen only to your own crappy music. put a cd, usb stick in. Or plug your earphone in your cell phone. I know you feel the world centers around you, but radio stations play a wide variety of music for a wide variety of people.

Don't know how you haven't intentionally crashed into a wall yet. Have you tried phoning autostyle for a trim plate?
Otherwise FM with Bluetooth or aux is an option.

I cannot find a replacement housing or anybody to install it locally.

I would like an android auto unit & my steering wheel controls to still work.

Annoys the crap out of me when presenters and staff let go of all formality and standards, laughing like uneducated mongrels and making noises as if at a street party where all inhibition can be let go off. Tasteless and of low standard.
