Typical of AB and team management, a player is not performing at his assigned role, instead of giving someone else's chance, they disrupt a successful top order instead...

They know he needs a score so they give him a run in a less pressurised situation. Even if he gets runs, what will happen next? He keeps his spot, goes back to the middle order where he won't cope with the pressure IMO

Yeah, hash yet to fire on this tour. Saving his form for the test matches. Nothing wrong.

Edit: we not comfortable against spin. India always in it with 3 spinners starting.

All the more reason why the experiment failed. It compromises the rest of the top order. One of our best players against spin was deprived a chance to get in before the spinners came on...
