Consoling thing about this match is that we didn't look like winning at any stage...

Team selection for the decider is going to be crucial. I would drop Miller, Phangiso and Morris. In comes in Elgar, Zondo and Morkel. Assuming Morkel is fit obviously, if not, Morris keeps his spot

Yup we need Elgar in there.

Morkel is a must! The extra bounce he generates has been the undoing of a lot of the Indian batsmen. He was sorely missed yesterday.

Toss will (unfortunately) be crucial. Disappointing that so many games these days hinge on the flip of a coin. Almost a case of the game being decided before a ball has been bowled.

I think the blame should go to the hosting Cricket board, in this case BCCI. The pitches prepared for this series so far have not been sporting one's IMO. They got worse as the game progressed and were dry to begin with to aid their spin strength

Agree with you on Elgar. However, I think it would be a very horses for courses selection between Morris and Phangiso as it would depend on the surface they're playing on. Both were equally ineffective (although Morris did the wicket of Sharma) yesterday and with Morris coming in at 7, our tail is just too long.

I haven't seen anything of Zondo so I can't comment on his possible role in the team.

My XI for the decider:

QdK
Amla
du Plessis
de Villiers
Miller
Behardien
Elgar
Steyn
Rabada
Morkel (Morris/Phangiso if Morkel not fit)
Tahir

Elgar and Behardien make up the fifth bowler. It's a risk but it lengthens the batting order somewhat.

Du Plessis fined for showing dissent after dismissal

South Africa batsman Faf du Plessis has been fined 15% of his match fee for showing dissent at an umpire's decision during the fourth ODI against India in Chennai.

The incident occurred in the 15th over of South Africa's chase on Thursday, when the batsman was given out caught behind for 17 off Axar Patel's bowling. Du Plessis showed his displeasure by raising his right hand and was charged with a Level 1 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct.

The charge was brought by on-field umpires S Ravi and C Shamshuddin, and third umpire AK Chaudhary. Du Plessis admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by match referee Chris Broad.

All Level 1 breaches carry a minimum penalty of an official reprimand and/or a maximum penalty of 50% of a player's match fee.
