But keep in mind, India lost their main bowler early in the series and that must have also played a part. Having said that, South Africa lost JP Duminy and Morne Morkel to injuries as well. Just the depth in the squads showing.

So they stake their entire game around Ashwin? Please!

Rabada is a real talent and gem, I only wish he does not succumb to long bouts of injury like several black fast bowlers before him have.

I think this lad will prove he is a lot stronger, more durable. He still needs to be managed though. Cannot have him suffering burn out from two much time at the crease. Regardless, this lad is showing unbelievable maturity at his tender age.

Not being derogatory but some of our previous quicks of color grew up malnutritioned, hence the fitness issues. Rabada has got what's needed to succeed.

I can confirm that as fact in Mfuneko Ngam's case. We brought him to our club from the township team where he was first spotted and our management got him onto a nutritional program immediately. Even with the best medical help all out help was temporary, which was a huge pity. Great bloke. Humble and unselfish. But a ****ing demon with a hard ball in his hand!!!

Yeah, must have been a tough pill for him to swallow. He was equipped with the talent to go on to be a great. Probably had the mental toughness and work ethic to make it but circumstances growing up denied him. If you take a moment to consider the implications it's actually quite tragic.

Hope when he gets rested (as he should be at times), there isn't any complaint about dropping the black guy. Kid is a star in the making...to see the gap Raina was leaving is one thing, to execute the perfect delivery to exploit it is another.

To be fair, he was their best bowler in the first couple matches. Doubt he could have done anything on today's pitch though...quite glad they didn't order up a super-slow turner.
