poor decision to send in a night watchman on this pitch.

if your top order batsmen are struggling then how on Earth do you expect a NW to survive?

At an average of 40 which is below Stiaan. When you've played that amount of matches, you should have a high amount of runs...

Stiaan is a middle order bat that is for some reason being made into a make shift opener. Whereas Cook has gotten almost all those runs at the top of the order.

Especially a nightwatchman with a poor defensive technique, made no sense sending tahir.

The issue is we don't have good enough opener at the moment hence the effort to convert Stiaan into an opener like they did with hersch those years back.

cook only averages 40, reeza hendricks only 34 and andrew puttick only 41. Hardly the type of stats that says pick me.
