Jissis, worst than our rugby team. That says a lot. We Saffies have psychological issues when it comes to sport performance.

I hear your pain. Time to move away from the Stormers and support a real rugby team. The Border Bulldogs come to mind...

No vaseline. Not to make excuses, but Hash has a point when he says they were rusty. Bangladesh has had series against India and Pakistan already since the CWC and this was our first competitive outing since then. Not sure why the ICC insist on shortchanging SA when it comes to our schedule but it clearly showed. Throw downs and hours in the nets are one thing. Time in the middle against quality opposition is another.

Congrats to Bangladesh. Deserved winners.

Its no excuse. If they were rusty they didn't prepare properly.

Maybe they should have respected bangladesh especially after pakistan and india's defeats and not rested their key players. Why they need rest after a 6 month break is absurd anyway.

O Matrix One, my memory of the CWC is a little faded, so feel free to help me right here. IIRC, AB played quite a big role in many of those games? Not? If so, it could be argued that our performances have relied too heavily on him. And now this is being rudely exposed.

Bangladesh are really keeping it tight. 16 runs of the last 10.

Was about to comment on us getting bogged down here. We need to at least look for some singles to keep the scoreboard ticking, relieve the pressure and keep me awake!!!

So was Elgar strangled out?
Tentative push at a shortish delivery outside off stump. Trying to guide the ball down to third man. Virtually no foot movement. Ball turned a bit, knicked, keeper juggled - good catch.

Elgar went into his shell after lunch. Put pressure on himself.

Worst! 3 down... only Bangladesh winning if the Saffers carry on playing for time.
