I see the U19's got off to a losing start!

Still no spot for Ray Jennings in the coaching staff, but I suppose when you doing so well who needs a World Cup winning coach in your setup.... said no one ever...

Whats really annoying is that they got an inexperienced ex player who moonlights more as a commentator to replace him. And he's packed on a few, hardly setting a fitness example.

Lawrence Mahatlane should stick to the mike, where he was quite good.

I played with and against his brother (Larry) over quite a few years and he was pretty good as well.

How 'pro' did you make it in cricket Mickey? Played first class or list A?

I ask, because I've always got the impression that you are well connected to the previous generation of cricketers?

Batting allrounder...

My mates still tease me today that it's a pity that we never had T20 around in our time. I caught it right at the end of my premier league playing days.

If there was money in the game in the early 80s I would have focused more on my game, but decided that my job came first. Seeing how some of the cricketers of those years are struggling today I don't regret it. There really was no money in cricket.

Classic example: My hero, RG Pollock, is very ill and I attended a fundraiser in his honour earlier this year.
