Batting allrounder...
My mates still tease me today that it's a pity that we never had T20 around in our time. I caught it right at the end of my premier league playing days.
If there was money in the game in the early 80s I would have focused more on my game, but decided that my job came first. Seeing how some of the cricketers of those years are struggling today I don't regret it. There really was no money in cricket.
Classic example: My hero, RG Pollock, is very ill and I attended a fundraiser in his honour earlier this year.
The only guys who made a little money (and I mean little) were those who played extensively in the English County leagues. And they were given titles like assistant groundsman, kit manager, etc. to enable them to get a salary!!!Jesus, if someone as good as Pollock couldn't make money, you definitely made the right call, mate.
Did AB touch that??? He did not look happy...
Sometimes it works, most times it doesn't !!Bowlers being given one over at a time for the sake of change is daft. Makes no sense.

We need a wicket or two...
