In the heart land of the Bulls, my condolences! Move to Joburg, here you can support any team you want without being m()ered :D

Aggh, Earl Rose. The most overrate player in SA. Earl must be patting himself on the back for making those personal phone calls to P Divvie; they're really paying off... Terblanche and Ludik both had great seasons.

Looks like snorre is sticking to his plan to make J. Fourie fullback or he is thinking of calling up Zane Kirchner. I would prefer fourie on Centre.....

Wait where is J. Fourie!? Hope he isbeing rested

Maybe this is just to sort out the maybe's and see how team dynamics are with a couple of new (possible) players....

I think its just a test run.

Earl Rose and Januarie are both horrid overated players... Januarie cant even make the Stormers line-up anymore... But he gets picked for SA?

Stefan should have been there... Also whats that blonde fullback from Stormers name again? To lazy to search and can't remember...

Jaque Fourie is getting married the weekend of the practice match. He won't have a long honeymoon by the look of things.

I am really surprised not to see Stefan Tereblance in the squad. He had a stunning season except for the Waratahs game and I know he is old but so was Percy and he played one helluva World Cup for us. We need the experience and the form players now. Forget about building towards the World Cup. Focus on the Lions.

Lions - Every 10-12 years
WC - Every 4 years.

What is Snorre thinking?

I think these are the 50/50 cases that he is thining out. Think there will be a couple of guys being called up after it. (well barring 90% of the bulls team :p)

So you actually think that Stefan will be called up when they announce the team on 1 June.

I see that Snorre says he did not pick Kockott or Luke Watson because they are not the best in their positions (Fair enough but we need backup) That is why you pick a 30man squad and not 15.

Kockott should just get a grip on his temper. But at least he could have doubled up as a goal kicker and is way better than January. So why did Snorre pick January? Quotas maybe?

Maybe experience, January as much as he sucked this season has proven he playes better in a boks jersey.

I can only think that Quota / January is keeping Kockott out of the team, but it could be his temper as well.

Well at the moment either J.Fourie will play fullback or he will call zane kirschner up... so hopefully he is just thinking Grandpa stefan needs the extra week or two rest :p

Ps on Watson: I would never play him if I was playing Schalk or Brussouw. They both do the work he would do and then free up Mr Spies to do some running :D

Agree on Watson.

I think we are forgetting about Frans Steyn here. He will be ready for the tour and if Stefan does not get picked I will most definitely play him at fullback. He lacks the ability to distribute ball well and for that reason I will not play him at flyhalf. At center we are pretty much covered. With all the space at the back and that monster boot he is my choice for 15.

With his "skills" this season he is my nr 23, ill even buy him a ticket for the grand stand.... :p

No really he must pick a position, stick to it and make it his own and bugger the rest. Ps he is to k@k to be flyhalf, and can not off load so also not a inside centre. I might play him like you said on Full back or outside centre.

Well, he wants to be a flyhalf. Shame.

With his strength and speed he will make a perfect fullback IMO.
1. Tall enough to get above chasers when fielding "gary owens"
2. Strong enough to hold off defenders long enough till support arrives.
3. Massive kicking boot. When playing territorial game this is very important.
4. Unpredictable. This can be good or bad. I have seen him get into deep **** with some of his fancy moves. (but see point #2)
5. When he does run at the defense he is very difficult to stop and usually draws a few players and opens up some space. *but needs to work on offloading in those tackles.

If he does the basics right he plays very good. Always buggers up when he tries to be a show-off.
