The only new airline is Flysafair and they will be flying the CPT - George route, not East London. The route will go active 13th November and looking at about R1100.00 return ticket at the moment.

Wouldn't it work out cheaper to drive from PE to Cape Town? Its ~750km per trip so thats 1500km return. I don't think fuel and maintenance would cost R5190 if you do decide to drive...

It's East London so add another 300km for a one way trip

Im in EL Not PE. So over 1000km. It will be a lot cheaper to drive, but I dont have two days to take out of my life to spend so much time in transit. Basically its a 10 hour drive each way.

EL to CPT
Distance: ~1 000 km
Cost: R5,200

Im in EL Not PE. So over 1000km. It will be a lot cheaper to drive, but I dont have two days to take out of my life to spend so much time in transit. Basically its a 10 hour drive each way.

Personally would have driven to PE and then flown from PE...
