They have been operating for less than 2 minutes and already on strike. really wish i had such privilege's sometimes.

Yes, the ANC is being hamstrung by their own labour laws. This is just another reason why the SAA cannot be saved. In fact, a huge reason why the country should not have a national carrier at all and rather rely on international airlines to do the flying locally with their own staff brought in from abroad.

Vote with your wallets. SAA is just going to fall further.
we don't really have a choice to vote with our wallets here sir, our taxes will still pay for them to stay afloat. Unless if you choose when to pay taxes and when not to.

Well, they were warned back then by numerous political parties, that by not doing the Business Rescue process correctly, they will be shooting themselves in the feet and the SAA will never be rescued. The twats, as always, did not listen. Now its coming back to bite them. They are all incompetent and should not be running a country.
Rescue was never the mission, neither is running the country, the real mission is that delicious WMC in black pockets.

Personally I believe SAA 3.0 is going to be.. da bomb!

I do not think the big problem with tickets and refunds are new people who booked recently. I doubt they had a lot of bookings in any event. Their big problem was with people who lost money to their scam last year and still waiting for refunds.

These people should start a civil class action and apply for liquidation of the SAA.

We know that, they know that, but everyone has to eat first. We're living in an equal-opportunity looting country, if you've got the right connections.

Awesome...did we hire out the business rescue process to a bunch of amateurs? I mean they charged 100s of millions of ZAR, gutted the company and what have we ended up with? The same thing on a smaller scale!

This silly clickbait headline needs changing.
'... Disaster' = an aircraft falling from the sky.

What's described in the body of the article (strikes, mismanagment, corruption, incompetence, etc) is just standard SAA operating procedure.
They kept the same management as before - how did the cabin crew think it was going to pan out..?
