Some (a lot) of SAA cash has been siphoned off by fraud and corruption: https://www.fin24.com/Companies/Industrial/fixing-saa-means-combatting-organised-crime-syndicate-former-prosecutions-boss-20190918
Advocate Vusi Pikoli, the airline's chief risk and compliance officer, told MPs the nine forensic reports were based on investigations at SAA and its subsidiary SAA Technical. Pikoli, a former national director of public prosecutions, joined the carrier in January.

The nine reports were "not actually attended to" in the past, said Pikoli. The airline's leadership is "resuscitating" the probes.

Of course we can!
Look at Zimbabwe and Venezuela where the chief comrades are still living like kings and to hell with all the rest.
With the arrival of the NHI do you think that Comrade Cyril and all the others will dump private facilities and go to state hospitals with a 36 hour wait and no meds stronger than panado?
They are going to suck the absolute maximum out of the system while they can.
Ramaphosa is already a multi billionaire! In the process of becoming billionaires, he and his wider family, destroyed the mighty South African mining industry. Marikana was the epitome of unequal wealth distribution! Malema has sharpened his spear and is just waiting for the right time.

Because Sipho is selling Chinese plastic forks to SAA at three times the price and the reason he has that deal is because his daddy in guavament got him a sweet BEE deal.
BEE is part of your Constitution! Live with it.

For an airline with a monopoly to some destinations, no strikes, no major security issues and a generally busy as hell route map - how this airline needs bailouts is just mind blowing i tell you.
That is Affirmative Action for you. Enjoy the ride

Ramaphosa is a multi billionaire purely because he was at the front of the queue when the comrades first started stripping the gravy train, People like Raymond Ackerman, Christo Wiese & Patrice Motsepe got wealthy the hard way; by working for it.

The Marikana shootings were a direct result of twenty years of SAPS standing idly by while rioting, arson, looting and murders happened in their presence. The ten murders immediately prior to Marikana would have also been ignored had certain comrades not had interests in the mine.

No. Not Patrice Motsepe! He is part of Ramaphosa's wider family. His sister, Mrs. Tshepo Motsepe, is Ramaphosa's wife. Enough said.

Any company would need a bailout if they were overstaffed like SAA.
Overstaffed with dirty corrupt ANC cadres, and there will be more money spent on investigations, and no recovery of the loot from the comrats.

Most likely got an amazing deal on Boeing parts from China.

Acting SAA board chairperson at centre of R200m tender row

Cash-strapped national carrier SAA is facing a fresh scandal after its acting board chairperson, Thandeka Mgoduso, was implicated in a R200 million tender row.
Mgoduso is accused of personally engineering the awarding of the lucrative consultancy contract to 21st Century, a company with which she allegedly previously had a working relationship.

She also allegedly submitted 21st Century’s name to SAA and had a number of secret meetings with the company’s executives before she strong-armed the national carrier’s supply chain management committee into awarding the contract, even though 21st Century “did not score the highest”.

This is contained in an internal SAA report seen by the Sunday Independent. The report was commissioned by the SAA Board’s chief risk and compliance officer, advocate Vusi Pikoli, and compiled by chief audit officer Siyakhula Vilakazi.
   This schit will never end.

Lol. You're a joke.
Once again you resort to one liner, personal comments. Carry on laughing and see how far you get. Patrice Motsepe + ANC families and buddies are deep into the through. Prove me wrong or #LiveWithIt
