Isn't that a gyrocopter? Needs a runway to take off.
Correct. I almost acquired one some years ago as part payment for some dodgy deal. ( The guy with the gyrocopter was dodgy, not me) Just needed to be assembled. Was a proper gyrocopter made by a company in the US which I think this one in the video is as well.

Eish, not sure you can get a lekker holiday in Cuba. Things are so desperate there that the Cuban regime is considering letting in private investors; shock and horror all round.

If you're not a dirt poor local you can have a nice time.

Check this pic out of the trainees and tell me why the once excellent SA Military Academy and military colleges couldn't have done the training?

Notice the short mini's and unkempt hair of the Cuban women? Completely at odds with Western forces.

Something tells me the 2 on the far right are not in the military for their combat ability

Exhibit B (the one holding the scroll) seems to be taking an imaginary selfie.

I have not been but read a few accounts of travel there and it depends what you call a "nice time". Hard to get basic foodstuff and lots of restrictions.

Where are the trainees? There's hardly anybody under 50 there. (what like maybe 3?) What did they train in? Bingo?

You'd have thought they'd go to Sweden for training on the Gripen. If they got trained on those Migs, it means absolutely zilch.
The same reason why Ukraine doesn't want Western aircraft as their pilots can only fly the Russian jets! But our lot can't think that far to realise it, so it was probably some form of holiday. Or money spending exercise.

In another telling implication of the SAAF, Olivier has it the airborne arm of the SANDF “will not have any real fighter capability before 2023 at the earliest and only for a handful of aircraft at first. There is now no hope of returning to capability levels and numbers 2 Squadron had before the grounding. At best only a token force can be restored by 2024/2025 under current funding levels”.

There is a small chance one or two Gripens may be flying at the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) exhibition next month, as it is believed Saab has been helping the SAAF with Gripen serviceability while the contract renewal is being finalised.

A complete flustercuck predicted in the 1980's. I told you so.
