SABC 3 showing cricket but my TV SABC 3 showing sonething else???

I am in Cape Town. SABC 3 is showing the cricket. On Sunday I watched it. Today my SABC 3 the title says cricket but it showed a normal programme. My dad in Durban happily watched the cricket on SABC 3.

Anyone else have this issue?
How do I fix it?
Retuning did not help. Instead I went from 68 channels to 28!

The cricket was on SABC 3 in CT on Thurs 12 Oct over, Analog ch 575.25 MHz, Terrestrial.

Nothing on Openview satellite or terrestrial.

It's due to a contractual complication with Multichoice. Depending on which feed you use.
Also it has changed before so some future time you may need to check all SABC related channels.

And as Geoff.D says, not on Openview at all.

Sounds like you have digital terrestrial - that's being fiddled with endlessly long term in some areas, so good luck that you even get the needed channel now :- (

Those on DStv smaller packages may have to also look around more sometime.
(Or use SuperSport 9 if you're not on EasyView)

Maybe it's a feature and not a bug. Testing out unsolicited but personalized programming.

You can only get something like that if you have an analogue tuner for your TV, probably not.

Geoff.D isn't usually here during the day. See my other posts above for more help or come back tomorrow.

Just note that your earlier description of 68 or 28 channels says you have a digital tuner, few TV's these days would have analogue as well.
 
My TV is a Sony Bravia purchased in 2012 and yes it does have analogue tuning and digital tuning.

I will wait to hear from Geoff D how I can tne my tv to get that analogie SABC 3 channel.

Just a moment, hold up.
It was my understanding that all of that was turned off? When I was last in CT I picked up f-all with a TV via it's tuner. (the TV was not faulty)

Reports of some areas being messed around, on / off / on, who knows what Sentech are doing with the transmitters.

@RonSwanson were you able to find out anything from Sentech?
