Not stolen, she appropriated it. Thing is, she demanded certain services for free and received nothing, so was left with no choice /s

There's been a few times this has happened. I remember yonks ago, someone ran onto the pitch after a cricket match and stole one of the stump mics. Also someone broke into an OB van parked at the Durban SABC offices and stole stuff. Both times the SABC cried during the evening newscast.

But the ones that happen whilst there is a large public presence (like this one, the cricket grounds, and the robbery live on air) always surprise me. Brave madirs!

What's the purpose of Zondo commission when nobody gets arrested, nobody get fired,no assets of these thieves frozen,No payback. Just a waste when laws are weak in prosecuting these criminals

It's a show for the dumb voters to show them that action is being taken.

Lol.. true.

Plot twist. ANC comrades payed her to steal the equipment so they can't broadcast how the Guptas liberated SA from their monies...

so we had people being mugged live on air,
and now we have people stealing camera equipment

what next? when asked for comment, people stealing the presenters mic?
or criminals impersonating a camera crew, to get into a restricted area?

Camera equipment gets stolen all the time. It's nothing new.

The only issue comes in when selling broadcast equipment. Those camera's cost hundreds of thousands of rands, and most of the time get recovered on gumtree and the likes. Difficult to sell without getting caught.
