SABC can show 16 RWC games live — including all Springbok matches

The SABC will be able to broadcast 16 Rugby World Cup 2023 (RWC 2023) matches live, including all games in which the Springboks will play or potentially play.

In a statement on Thursday, DStv owner MultiChoice — which holds the exclusive rights to broadcast and stream RWC 2023 in South Africa — confirmed that it had reached an agreement with the public broadcaster over the matter.
 
We don't have this service, or the other one. Oh, what will we do...

Pity that there had to be drama for something that was always on the cards to begin with.

So... Has anybody used the SABC+ app before and why is it not on my Android TV?
 
Huh, this puts me in a strangely familiar position. Before this, I didn't know how I could watch the Rugby because I didn't have a DSTV decoder or subscription. Now I don't know how to watch it via SABC, because I've never connected my TV up to an antenna, or bothered to figure out how to actually tune into a terrestrial broadcast on my TV.

Does anyone know if Digital TV is broadcast in Cape Town, and do I still need an antenna for a digital broadcast?

Aerial on your roof or the cheap DStv package which has sabc and not much else

Well alrighty then, guess I won't be watching the games. We have no dish and no aerial, and being the middle floor of a block of flats, no way to put any up.

Lets see if they get streaming rights. Then its ok
