The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) announced that it will cut up to 400 jobs - which is 200 fewer than the 600 it was previously considering retrenching.
The public broadcaster said it has exhausted all other options, and it has to take this step to ensure sustainability going forward.
It must be so difficult, when you realize that you have become irrelevant. When your funding model no longer supports your political extravagance. Howzit Hlaudi, having a good time?
This is hardest on the staff, who thought they had a job for life and in some cases are not trained for anything else, but in the long term its best that SABC simply stop operations. They are a waste of tax payer's money with no improvement possible.
