SABC+ migrating to new platform with "exciting new service offering"

The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has advised that its SABC+ video streaming service could experience issues or downtime due to the launch of an unspecified "exciting new service offering".

The SABC said the migration of the SABC+ service to a new technology system might result in a temporary pause of services for "no more than 48 hours".

That's the neat part: you don't need a valid TV Licence to watch SABC+.

I don't think there's every been a Android TV SABC+ app. Chromecast was always available, though.

No, there was no previously available Android TV app, was hoping that the upgrade would include an Android TV app.

No Android TV app version

Only phone version, and I hear casting has been disabled on latest version. Don't understand why they would do that. Would think they want more users not less, but Africa logic defies my understanding.
