“But we are not only limiting it to TV. We also have other platforms where people consume content and in all of those areas, that is where we should look at how we are able to get SABC licence fees from those gadgets.”

This means that the SABC wants users who watch content on devices such as laptops and smartphones to also pay licence fees.
But, but, but the content is not SABC content - you have no legal rights to apply a TV license to 3rd party content.
The TV license fee is for SABC content - Netflix has no SABC content.

#VoetsekSABC and die already

Oh god. The SABC board can get a nice long extended tandem bike, take off the seats, replace them with the girthiest dildo's they can find then go cycle along the most pothole strewn road you can find in any of the ANC run municipalities.

The think tank is still far behind
TV licence is irrelevant, there are many ways to generate revenue, you need thinkers and doers to enable

moar gravy you fools, MOAR
I'm waiting for a wealth tax for using crypto.

typical african country trying to tax everything that moves.

Was mot aware that the SABC moved, or for that matter Netflix ... , but yeah.

How long before they get to doctor's having to collect a TV license every time, you go for a consultation, or each time you walk into the corner Cafe - ridiculous logic.

typical African country logic,
go to Zim, if your car has headlights that work, at night, you'll get fined,
why? because they work, and others don't.

same here, see money is being made, lets fine them.
why? why not? we've looting everything else.
