Lol goodluck enforcing that, I guarantee I won't pay you SABC cnuts a cent for having a cellphone.

The worry is that they will then employ a tattle incentive where neighbors would report each other for financial incentive.

This would be a huge income chase if 40 million+ mobile devices have to have a SABC license, we will end up with an SABC Gestapo.

It wrecked my brain that they can so brazenly claim its within their right to even consider a charge like this. Eventually it will come down to the SABC owns internet access in SA, anyone with internet access at a minimum need an SABC license and then every additionally device you might have that could get any sort of streaming would need a bolt on license. This will never end.

They must be able to prove i am watching something they provide - without having access to my physical device. Until then, they can f off. Plus - SABC does NOT even provide a streaming service. If they did, i'm sure you'd have to have a login credential. If i'm not a registered user (nor will I ever be) i do not require a license. SABC does not provide any service towards giving me access to Internet or the contents there of. SABC does not have a hand in ANY of my business and should be put in it's place or we burn every one of their buildings to the ground.

Just because i have the ability to steal/rape/murder does not mean I am one of these things. Same goes for devices. Just because they have the ability - doesn't mean it's being used. The Taxpayers are extremely gatvol of being exploited for all SOE that are corrupt from top to bottom and generate ZERO positive impact to the country and just heavier and heavier burdens on it's people every day they are allowed to "operate".

Why don't they just licence eyeballs since that's the only device that really matters when watching TV. Then if the licence fee is too expensive you can poke one out and pay only half.

I'd be more concerned about my neighbor with a pair bino's checking over the wall to see if I was using a cellphone, than fearing incompetent TV license police.

Do we get discount if we are 1 eye down? I know the blind can still listen to radio so they will have to charge for hearing too. Double whammy!

Oe oe, I have another one.

SABC also will be driving down each street at 5PM. You as a SA resident will have to stand outside clapping your hands as a sign of you praising them

So you are going to pay a TV license fee for Netflix and then the same fee again becuase you have a cell phone

That makes fokhol sense, so you will pay for the device and the software on it.

So PC screens are next

Don't need that, in general public, friends and family. Anyone with an axe to grind and in need of cash money by reporting you.

This is how the gestapo operated so efficiently, all started slowly but eventually families reported families and you didn't need to be monitoring them incognito to know whats going on.
