If I look at an angle on my microwave, I can see the tv's reflection, so my microwave will also probably need a tv license. Oh and my mirror as well....

I rarely even watch youtube on my phone, why should I require a TV license?
This video explains how we all feel

The interesting part is at 5min onward, wait for it, wait for it, wait for it... (repeat 3 times as per myBB articles)

The bigger part of the mass that gets its news from SABC votes thieves of public funds to govern the country. Paying SABC is encouraging more theft.

They can go get f*cked really. I don't have any streaming service on my iPhone, nor does my wife have on her iPhone. Nor on our iPads. Or the other 2 kids tablets (rubbish Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0s). No ways we are paying a TV license for that.
It's like paying for a solar license for your house because you have a solar light for your driveway. What a joke.

I don't mind if the SABC wants to charge a fee for watching SABC content, but the SABC should not be allowed to have a blanket charge for content that does not belong to the SABC irrespective of how that content gets from A to B.

If the SABC decides to charge for its own content, it is quite simple to enforce: complete the digital migration and rollout set top boxes that use encryption by default, then the SABC can encrypt the hell out of its own content and demand an annual licence fee which unlocks the set top box for a year.

Oh please just stop. How many times are you going to publish a variation on the same information from the same parliamentary meeting, MyBB? Is it all about headlines and website traffic?

Yes.

So tell me do people in Mozambique and Botswana and Namibia watch SABC programs on their TV's and cellphones ? How many of them pay TV licenses to SABC?

Its time they shut this corrupt public broadcaster down- permanently.

Lol goodluck enforcing that, I guarantee I won't pay you SABC cnuts a cent for having a cellphone.
They might just introduce it as a tax when you purchase the phone.
So the average phone lasts two years and we want a R100 per phone per year.
Add R200 to cost price of phone

I've accidentally glanced at one of those digital signage boards next to the road.

Guess I need to pay my TV license now...
