It was the SABC who ordered that, as they were the rights holders of the race, no cameras from other television channels would be allowed on the route

The Cycle Tour Trust pays SABC R1.7- million to broadcast the race, having moved from SuperSport a few years ago. They are furious at the poor standard of broadcasting, how they missed most of the start of the race and how they kept showing Oprah Winfrey promotions, essentially house advertisements, instead of broadcasting the damn race.

Typical. Bunch of clowns at SABC! And they want to do the 2010 WC!!!
