South Africans kiss R3.2 billion goodbye

The Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA) says the South African Broadcasting Corporation's (SABC's) finances have shown no real improvement despite receiving a bailout of R3.2 billion in 2019.

Presenting before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, AGSA deputy business unit leader Nathan Lawnet highlighted that the public broadcaster has achieved only 52% of its targets for the 2023/24 financial year.

yes but all the nannies cars in the parking lot have suddenly been upgraded, along with new designer outfits and Gucci bags

Did they change any behavior when they received the bailout or did they just continue as before?
It would be extremely rare for any human to change their behaviour unless they bear the consequences of their bad decisions.

No schit. There's never a plan, it's always just give us more money and we'll fix it...

BAILOUT means salaries and no need to do any work towards getting SABC profitable.
Ps forgot .
you need to to produce something that people are going to watch.

Lets give them a chance guys..the country needs the glorious SABC.
