I'm not really sure what you mean. SGS have quite a few servers. You'll really have to be alot more specific here, what kind of servers, did you specify the port etc.etc.

No one can read minds ;)

Dominic, you won't get any answers unless you say what game you are trying to play, what server browser you are using, etc.

For a start download a server browser like this one:

http://games.saix.net/localdownloads/default.php?section=file_show&p_file=143

Copy and paste that link into your browser, it has to be on one line.

Uh, dude, some of them are clan servers etc. We still have no idea what game you are trying to play as there are different servers for each one.

Dominic, it is pretty simple to connect, but first you have to have the game loaded on your PC. You talk about downloading Counterstrike 1.6. For starters it helps to have a legal version of the game in your cupboard. Most of these games will authenticate with the manufacturers server. Once you have authenticated, then you get the option to join a game playing server. Here you will normal see thousands of games been played all over the world, doesn't help much as we can't play overseas with a 400ms ping time. So you have to look for the local servers. That link to saix is great, from the list of servers that you can obtain there, you now enter one of these in the option of the game which says you can enter IP address manually. If it is right, game details will come up. You should be able to tell if it is clan, locked, etc. by icons used. By clicking on this you will then be able to join.
On Saix there is a nice UNREAL 2004 demo which you can download. You can connect without having the real version but don't forget to get the IP address from saix. This will give you an idea about online gaming and will be the start of about a thousands other things that you will have to learn about, ie. lag, ping latency, cheats and will so occupy your time that you will never see the sun again.

The other thing about SAIX's counterstrike servers is that they will require you to have a LEGITIMATE copy of the game... [:D]

If you have a "warez" version, don't be surprised...

When I connect to Counter-Strike online, it connects to WON, however It brings up no games that I can join. Counter-Strike 1.6 is a mod for Counter-Strike no the game. Thanks for helpful response though]

CS 1.6 runs through Steam. You launch Steam and start up the server browser from there or within CS.

yea, counter strike doesnt work, its a sign, just accept your fate. Your PC has finaly realised that you are playing a stupid game which degenerates your inteligence and it is trying to protect you from pending brain damage.

From what I can see from the responses looks like you might be siting behind a firewall or using your ADSL modem as a router and don't have you NAT setup properly. If that is the case, search the forums I am sure I have seen a couple of guides explaining how to setup port forwarding.
