Not really. You're a teacher. Everyone knows what you earn isn't much.

I earn a governing body salary. That's even less than a government paid salary.

And I've been screwed out of a government paid position, 3 times already in 1 year, by my principal.

Excuse my ignorance but why don't you leave?
Schools are looking for qualified teachers from what I'm hearing and you have years of experience behind your name from what I remember?

Those figures are way too specific.
Rather break it down into what someone generically.

My rule of thumb has always been getting what your age is, but recent economic climate makes that hard.

I really don't know how people survive on 30k with kids.

A 20 year old would be overpaid and a 50 year old would be underpaid in that instance. It's a decent guideline between say 28-35...

Few, and I mean very few, people will net 50k by the age of 50. That's top 0.1% territory. Not everyone can earn a 900k salary.

I've noticed how out of touch many mybb members are with real world salaries.

+1, I know market related salaries. Either everyone here earns fantastically.... or mostly the rich ones comment :D
Most here are in IT and I'm telling you (for software development at least) those salaries are low.

If you are talking about the national average, we'll most earn below R10k according to the latest stats so in that case those salaries are way too high.
