Second time you ask. It is a difficult question to ask and the very reason they get to throw the "market related" phrase around. Considered applying for a job, hoping to the I interview and finding out what they are offering? Either it is awesome and you take it or it is not and you decline.

I've found that Payscale is very wrong. On there, my annual CTC is halved.

Non of those sites that look at job title only, are accurate.
Two different job titles often do the same thing, and the same job title often does very different things. When they change to some sort of measure that takes job roles or responsibilities into account they might be more accurate.

If you question your salary then it's time to have the talk.
If nothing comes from that then it's time to jump.

Try not to disclose your current salary. Ask what they are offering and decide from there.

This approach drives me insane - it only promotes job hopping to up your salary... and the company I work for is also guilty of it.

NQF get hold of Sam or Laura from www.nu-beginnings.co.za they will be able to help you, we don't supply our clients with our candidates current CTC but rather what their desired CTC is. They will be able to help you with Cape Town's market related salary as well.

Good luck and if you don't come right please mail me so that I can help angie@nu-begininngs.co.za

Nope. Aim to be at least above average in everything I do.

In response to OP's Question: At least 420K P.A.

That sounds like way above average in Cape Town. Would imagine R350k CTC is about the norm. Or is that just me?
