A bleeding Dr Mvuyisi Mzukwa had to “run for his life” and hide in bushes next to the N2 freeway when he was attacked on Saturday night.

The SA Medical Association chairperson was on his way home from the King Shaka International Airport when he had car trouble near the EB Cloete interchange, commonly known as Spaghetti Junction.

“He moved to the slow lane and then stopped the car on the side of the road at Spaghetti Junction. Out of nowhere some people approached him and started breaking his car window with a brick. He was then asked to get out the vehicle and then they stabbed him multiple times,” Sama board member Dr Akhtar Hussain told TimesLIVE on Monday.

He said Mzukwa managed to flee and hide in bushes.

“Metro police were driving by and stopped to see why a car was parked on the side of the road. That’s when they found him and rushed him to hospital.”

Hussain said Mzukwa was lucky to be alive.

Not the first person to be assaulted and robbed there after a breakdown or accident. Happened to a friend of mine who was lucky to escape with a few pokes from a screwdriver but lost all his possessions. There be savages.

Your party and cadres created the clowntree we live in and let crime get so bad so stop b1tching you deserve what you created.

Also did you go to the local government hospital to get stitched up and did you have to wait 24hours for medical attention.

That is why you need to have a gun in SA. You don't know where or when your car is going to break down. No matter how good the police are (and our police minister, whose mother was called a kitchen technician and father was called a horticultural engineer, is hardly the best example of a competent public servant), they still won't be able to respond to something like this.

Everyone who wants legal firearm ownership to be restricted in SA is part of the problem.

@BhekiCele - your presence is required....
Dear Sir

It has come to my attention that my dear father was erroneously mislabelled as a horticultural maintenance expert, and my loving mother was also erroneously mislabelled as a cookhouse assistant, that is why I fear I cannot fulfil my duties as the minister of police. Furthermore, you continuing to talk to me will unfortunately lead me to making the conclusion that you might be slightly unscrupulous towards me based on the darkish hue of my skin.

Yours Truely
Bheki Cele , Esq

HAHAFUKKINGHA, that spineless coward? This country has become a steaming pile of camel sh|t because of him and his predecessor and the collective pig slop that is the cANCer
Phrase it like this to get more likes. You are too moderate.

"We" freely gave "these" people pristine & rich country at a huge sacrifice to ourselves and look what "they" did.
