If it was used so much, then why do so many drive with the phone stuck to their ear in their fancy bluetooth enabled cars?

I tend to agree, I find bluetooth quite crappy, prefer wired connections.

Got a pair Chinese bluetooth earphones from cash crusaders and they rock. Love the bass listening Google play tunes.

I'd rather have the option of both. My car gives me the option of Bluetooth, USB Stick, Memory Card and 3.5mm jack, why shouldn't my phone allow me to choose between BT and 3.5mm jack as they always have?

Is there going to be a day when we say goodbye to the USB-C and Lightening Port when Apple decide to finally do Wireless Charging?

But why isn't it giving you the option of a CD anymore??? I mean, they still sell CDs, right?

Probably, yes.

Probably, yes.
Because the CD was replaced with THREE things, USB Stick, Memory Card and BT.

They didn't just take the CD player out and leave me with a less convenient option that requires me to get more accessories.

EDIT:
Make that 4 things, with the 3.5mm jack!

Yes they did. I have a moerse collection of CDs, now I had to convert them all to MP3, and buy a stick to put into the radio.

Did you not already have a smartphone with Music on it, with BT and the car also already have BT?

If BT Headphones were already standard in the box in all smartphones, this would be far less incovenient.

We are going backwards, my old Nokia N80 had no 3.5mm jack, one had to get an adapter with 3.5mm jack or BT headphones, that is 2005.

Me? yes. But I'm not every single use case, am I? I was more describing the situation of a friend. But can you see the problem?

Agree, if only car radios came with CD-to-MP3-Converters as well.

Ok, tell me, does your S7edge have an IR Blaster? And my silly V20 now has a USB C type port. Damnit, now my car charger doesn't work anymore

My point is, technology evolves, stop living in the past, move forward.
