Hey guys I can renew my contract in feb. Its a toss up between a nokia N series or samsung D900i. I was told by a guy that works at vodacome that I mustnt go for the N series as it is the most brought back phone because it mul functions a lot. I really like the look of the D900i. I want to know whats ur guys experiences with both phones?

I've had both and I'm much happier with my Nokia. It's the most popular phone so it figures they have more units going out and so more returns. Which N series phone are you looking at?

We're not living outside SA are we ;) If a Nokia breaks, chances are it's cheaper and quicker to get repaired.

N80 LCD replacement cost me R500 after I dropped it on an ice rink. LCD replacement for an HTC (for eg.) is R1500+

Okay i think my friend said she has the n73 and another friend said she has the n70. Also i might have to pay in extra if i want these phones. If i do would the n series be more expensive than the samsung

What I like about my Nokia N-series (N80), is that you can easily flash the phone yourself and download the latest OS off the net, just about every month.

So if there are bugs in the software, you can be sure that there will be a fix.

I found with the Samsung, that it doesnt give a proper flash when updating the OS therefore bugs can still cause problems.

Samsung has very bad customer service and the D900 was a problemic phone thats why they released the D900i, still not worth getting a Samsung. On the other hand the N series is one of the most popular phones in the world. The N73 ME is a very nice phone and at a good price, the N95 is still very expensive. The Nokia 6110 Navigator with built in GPS maps is also a very nice phone for a traveler.Cheers

I didn't want to answer this because it is a very stupid question, but I'll help you with this one.

Go for the N-series.:D;)

If you have a Samsung mobile, it secretly sms the Samsung fridge, washing machine & microwave in your house & collect usage data - then sends all the information back to Samsung HQ! Scary stuff...
