Samsung will have to come down in price significantly, Huawei is almost unbeatable. Samsung will need to flood MTN, Cell C and Telkom with bottom prices.

Here are the stats on my AP for the past few days of phones I pick up around our place.
95% are Huawei

Huawei are priced competitive - but Huawei phones (through Telkom anyway...) are dual-sim. Not sure if Samsung offers any dual-sim phones in SA.

Why no smartphone with mid range specs, but an awesome camera? I really don't need an OLED screen and fast CPU and in screen fingerprint reader. But an awesome camera sensor would appeal to many.

I swapped my P8 Lite for an A7. Super happy about what I got!

Yes A30 A50 are available with dual sim from cell c. They are better usually then Huawei as they can take a MicroSD card and 2 sims together.

Telkom just released them on contract so hopefully those are dual sim as well.
