Camera quality comparison

Found a site with a comparison of the camera for the Samsung K Zoom vs other more recent types of smartphone cameras: Camera Comparison: Samsung Galaxy K zoom vs Samsung Galaxy S7.

Not too bad for a 2 year old smartphone camera, although the more recent smartphone cameras does seem to have it beaten . :erm:

The Camera was decent, but even the Galaxy S4 I9500 had a comparable camera vs. the K Zoom at the time.

Yes it is still for sale on some sites. The better aperture sizes of recent smartphone cameras has an edge over it though. Did you ever own one?

I knew someone who did, it was a good phone, I wanted to get it as a 2nd phone but it would have been a waste, as it is a very capable phone that would've just sat in my drawer 90% of the time.

Battery life is average, nothing amazing.

I guess if you want a zoom lense this is the only way to go, but don't expect amazing results other than that.

My wife has been wanting it since it released but it was too expensive back then so now that it's more affordable, I bought it for her as she still wanted such an older phone. Using the OnePlus 3 myself, I advised her on other more recent and capable phones but to no avail. Must say though that it really can take excellent detailed pictures in many low light conditions with the optical zoom enabled as well as upping the ISO to 1600 and even 3200. For this reason I love its camera.
