Received my Note10 plus today from Telkom. Can confirm it is dual sim

hi ,
please clarify for me .
If its dual sim , then no sd card option .correct ?
Then only internal storage ?

Further ,
according to what i understand and found ,
when checking with Nova Prime launcher activities function ( in past experience s )
eg ..... on my Note 8 or 9 Vodacom brand devices ,is that in the Samsung firmware , Sim 1 and Sim 2 is listed .
I also understand that the Sim 2 slot ,is then converted to external storage option, by Samsung ..depending on the relevant carriers requirements ..?

i also understand , if you have a dual Sim device and your device is rooted ,
you can convert your dual Sim 2 ,to external storage ( sd )
Is above correct ...anyone ??

Personally , i'm quite happy with SIM 1 and sd options ,
as i prefer to keep most of my items eg foto s ,documents/pdf ,video /movies
also various apps backup settings safe and "nearby " on my device,
In case i have to urgently format /reset my device .
Also, to save on installation time, from my alternative cloud or laptop backups .!

The opposite ( dual sims ) is also a good option ........having dual sim options ... Sim 2
I would be very happy having my 60 gig data sim on my device ..!!
good luck

If you use a second SIM card, then it goes in the slot where you use the SD card, hence you cannot use both SD and SIM2 at the same time.

Yes, the firmware has multi SIM management function to assign icons, default actions (SMS, calls, data) to certain SIMs.

Has anyone claimed the Galaxy Buds yet, I don't see it members. The link I refer to is www.samsung.com/za/offer.

There is no mention in the T&C about it being only for MTN devices.

The Buds were part of the S10 offering.
With the Note 10, you get a Galaxy Fit.

Also, with the S10 you got R500 off a cover, while with the Note 10 you get R400 off a cover.

Does anyone know what with is?
I received it yesterday at a Samsung Store, as part of a promotion.
All I can assume is that it is a wallet of some kind. The phone fits in the zipped pocket, but the elastic slots on the longer flap are too small for bank cards.

Any ideas?

If you click on that particular image Note 10 , it takes you to another page.(See screenshot)
It's only for Mtn and it's their promotion that you get Galaxy buds.On that page it also states that T & C applies.etc.

It's actually a bummer, as i got the the Galaxy Fit (Vodacom).I also have a Polar M400 watch (with Bluetooth hart rate chest strap and HR7 monitor) and Samsung Galaxy S3 Frontier watch.
I would have really appreciated the Galaxy buds.!

Anyway,
I have compared my Polar hart rate readings in my mornings, 10 km runs, to the Galaxy Fit readings.!
Overall, the Galaxy Fit readings is wrong, by about 20 bmp.
eg If my trusted Polar hart rate gives me a reading of 110 bmp.... Galaxy Fit shows
a reading of about 137 bmp.
If i completed my 10 km run, Galaxy Fit shows
i did a 6 km run.!
I have tested /done this "experiment"
nearly every day for over 2 weeks..!
Similar results.
Overall, as a "fitness" / hart rate watch and distance /steps,
it's ... pathetic.!
Even the reviewers (You tube) highlite these two issues.!

As far as i know, there's only 2 x updates for our Note 10 devices.

If it's the August 2019 security patch update, for Note 10, then it should improve
Fingerprint recognition and performance of Touch screen has been improved.

If it's the new September 2019 security patch update,
then it should improve audio quality over wired
earphones.

Please note,
I found apart from above......
If you plug you Usb C wired earphones into you phone, it should also do a software update..!
(quite cool and unusual for me on Note device)
good luck.

Everyone still enjoying there note devices

I am.
It is just surprising that there are so few comments regarding the phone.

I last used a Note with the Note 5.
The S-pen takes some getting used to again, but makes a great tool once used to it.
Between the Note 5 and the Note 10+ I used a S6, S8+, S9+ and S10e.
The Note 10+ blows all the predecessors out of the water.

Everyone still enjoying there note devices

Had mine now for a week, some thoughts...

Pro's:
Battery life is great
Screen is great
It feels a lot faster than my Note 8
Camera is a lot better (low light/night mode)
DUAL SIM!!! (mine is from Telkom)

Cons:
The wizard stylus is limited and not achieving its full potential
There is no Linux on Dex support ( I used this a lot )
No notification light (displaying the charging status in AOD, I suspect will just lead to screen burn in)
Slight vibration caused by the acoustic chamber they created for the top earpiece

The biggest con, which is not limited to the Note range... It doesn't feel like I have upgraded. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice phone and I don't regret getting it, but I think the market have reached a saturation point with what is available in new devices.

Even the folding devices, will only really be in their prime in the next two years once there is better support for apps, and the devices are slimmer, and all the kinks are worked out (including the price point).

There is no Linux on Dex support
This is a shame. I'd skipped the note 9 thinking I'd wait for the note 10, but I specifically want Linux on dex. Hopefully it's still coming. I'm actually thinking of downgrading my phone and getting a tab s6 instead, but again, I would want Linux
