Sandton City Telkom Store have no clue when this stock will arrive. They didn't even the know there were 2 models of the Note 3!! Is this the level of competence of the people we contract to for 24 months! :(

Can anyone comment on Altech and their service and costs?

you prob better off going cell c direct and avoid all those extra mandatory costs which will probably work out the same anyways minus the hassle of going through a middle man

Also I thought they no longer allowed to advertise deals with a price and then have compulsory add ons in the fine print?
IMO add ons should never be compulsory, based on that fact alone I would stay away from them.

Just got a call from telkom Maponya. Contract pricing out. Stock available on friday!

Telkom, called YOU? Are you sure it was Telkom and not a hoax?

With their track record and seeing that it is still not listed on their website, I am VERY sceptical to believe that. Nothing against you, but we're talking Telkom here...

So that's R2400 for the Gear over 2years...
Anyone seen the new MTN and Vodacom deals yet?
Still nothing on the TM website. I wonder if they are going to miss today's date as well...

5 GB of data!!!

Last night after work I ported my main number to telkom mobile. I took the S4 package though. The note 3 was just too expensive.

Then a bit later I did a trade for a note 3 :D

If I were to get a sim only plan from Telkom & the Note 3 from say FNB, would I still get the 5GB Telkom data?

Haven't seen a sim only option. But I wasn't looking for one either

Nope, the 5GB data you only get on the high-end contracts.

What I don't understand, is why don't you get yourself the Smartplan 100 with the Note 3, instead of just paying off a phone from FNB??

The FNB option does not make sense to me.
