Just upgraded to Lollipop. Thanx for the tip on silent mode, almost went back to KK...

So far so good, will see over the weekend how it differs from KK. Might be psychological, but the phone feels faster....

Pls can some one repeat the tip for silent mode here? Looked for like half an hour already and can't find it.

Thanks for the folder colour change tip Dom! nice touch! :)

So far liking Lollipop, UI is faster and snappier, material UI looks good, and the battery life seems to still be fantastic.

Big LOL at "unfortunate Snapdragon users", I've been so unfortunate to get incredible battery life and a phone that doesn't lag or stutter, super unfortunate over here! :D

Hi, it's under the sounds and notification menu. There is an option called interruptions. You can manage it here.

There is a shortcut on the notification panel as well to make it easier to activate. It looks like a no entry sign. When it's deactivated it says All and when you click on it, it toggles between All, Priority and None.

That sounds like the present "blocking mode" in KK.

Which one did you flash please? I noted two or three carrier versions. Vodafone is still on 4.4.4 for Germany.

when you on the firmware checker, just type N910F in the search box. The german 5.0.1 is top of the list which is displayed

On the exynos lollipop update i have noticed more than double standby time now, without changing any sync settings etc my battery only dropped 1‰ overnight.

Normal usage of the phone, the battery is also lasting quite a bit longer

Same goes with the S4. They have done some serious magic to the battery life on the lollipop update with Samsung devices.

The new "silent mode" on Lollipop :

I phoned my number from another phone, the call showed on my screen, but completely silent. You can either configure Priority interruptions to allow certain numbers to still ring, like your bank manager or wife, and None for no interruptions. Works perfectly.

Priority :

None (see the Sound icon is greyed out) :

See at top the "None" icon.

The only problem with the new "silent mode" is that the notification light doesn't work when set to "none". This prevents my LED flip case from functioning properly and lighting up when I receive emails or any other notifications.

It has been fixed with Android 5.1, but your guess is as good as mine as to when it will be released for Samsung phones.
