My battery life has gone to absolute crap with the Vodacom Lollipop rom :( Google PLay Services is chowing it to death and I can't seem to get it fixed.

Might do a full reset at some point.

The only positive is that the Note 4 battery life is so awesome that even when getting drained at this icnredible speed I can still make it through a day very easily.

Just wondering whether or not it would make sense to get a Note 4 over an S6 Edge due to the price difference? Would probably get it while waiting for the price of the other to go down and then make the switch.

On the used market it seems to be 5k at least... But I'm quite sure the S6 pricing will drop in the next 2 months or so...
It will, yes. But the Note 4 will still be the better phone. There is no excuse for no SD card and non replaceable battery. Apple's marketing department has tried to push that for years, don't let Samsung push the same BS.

The 64GB storage is what I need - hence Edge too (plus it looks better). I have a Z3c at the moment and the removable battery doesn't bother me...

Anyone with both able to comment on performance and camera difference?

Hi all. Recently got my Note 4. Fantastic phone, best I've had.

My biggest concern is battery and a comparison is my S4 would run flat from being on and charged to 100% at 6am, flat by lunch time. So I would end up charging phone about 3 times a day. This Note 4 after 2 weeks is giving me a full working day till I go to bed usually with about 30%

Weekends I can charge battery when I go to bed Friday evening and only need to charge phone again Sunday evening when I go to sleep.

The camera, display, performance is top notch. I downloaded Lollipop the day I got the phone so not sure how well it would have run on Kitkat.

So far no software annoyances or system crashes, but the same can be said for my previous phone (S4) or maybe I'm just lucky.

My only gripe with Android is that I have to leave the phone on in order to have alarm go off next morning to wake up!! So I only ever switch off phone on a Friday or Saturday evening.

After a couple of weeks on lollipop, my battery is also not doing as well as it used.

Still can't get rid of the toast notifications, either.

So I finally got Lollipizzle on my phone and I love it. It looks better and runs a ****load faster. I was beginning to get the typical Touchwiz slowdown on 4.4.4.

I've heard everything from Lollipop being Android Vista/Android ME to not having a silent mode, but it's been quite the opposite. Maybe it's because I went directly to 5.0.1..

Anyone know where I can buy a charger that supports adaptive fast charging online? Can't seem to find it at the regular online stockists...

Like your Note 4 so much, you want another one? Go here...

You've owned both the Note 4 and S6 (Edge?).... How do they compare? Should I save the cash and get the Note? Say R6800 vs R12000 (average price for a decent Note 4 and an unwanted S6 Edge)

Well, depends on what you want, and what you need. The note 4 is easily one of the best phones out there at the moment. The only thing you'll gain really with the edge is the look and feel. If you have use for a stylus, which I didn't, then rather get the Note 4. But damn, the S6edge feels so good in hand... so good. So pretty, and shiny... my precious... o sorry, what were we talking about

Wait several weeks and then rather ask... By that time he would have wooed & bedded Samsung's newest iteration, GN5. For now, the S6 mistress is still very new, sexy and exciting to render his opinion objective.... :D
