Haha true :D. I'm seriously considering the Note 4 as a temp phone while waiting for the S6 Edge pricing to die down... Or I could just try keep the Z3c for a bit longer (aiming for 2 months - it's been a month and a few days and I'm itching!)

Wait several weeks and then rather ask... By that time he would have wooed & bedded Samsung's newest iteration, GN5. For now, the S6 mistress is still very new, sexy and exciting to render his opinion objective.... :D

No, but seriously. It's all about need and want. Some people are happy to go with what they need, while other just want the latest and greatest.

In other words, the Note 4 you need, the S6 you want.

Note 4 is an excelent phone. Hell, I sold mine last night on here in less than 10 minutes.

Could not agree more with this. Well said.

Anyone on the BOC3 firmware and rooted?

I flashed the CF-Auto root via Odin, all was successful but I still have no root. Supersu is installed and even reinstalled it.

Any ideas or alternative rooting methods? thanks

Busy reading through this forum as I made up my mind to get this phone, however I hear a lot of guys saying to go prepaid, I do understand you are not tied up for 2 years, but in terms of pricing its R500pm on contract, while the cheapest one you can find in stores is at R10k (DionW, not considering Orange), so isnt the data and airtime worth the extra R2k you would pay over the period?

Has anyone found a fix for the Lollipop toast notifications at the top of the screen?

Now, apart from taking up half of the screen, when I tap on them, nothing happens and I have to clear them and go into the relevant app to see the message in any case :(

Unfortunately, its not the LTE version
For someone like myself who has WiFi at work and home, the extra cost of the LTE devices can not be justified.

When my S4 is out of ADH in September, I may go Note4 non LTE from Takealot or buy just after Note5 comes out to save even more.

Loving this device. Came from the note 3 and while it is similar it is imo a vast improvement on everything. Feel of the phone in the hand without a cover is superb alas I did buy a cover.

For anyone interested in a flip wallet style cover I can highly recommend the Tech21 flip wallet. Really solid fit and you can use the flip part as a stand. That sold it for me. Got mine from Vodacom shop for R399 which is really decent for a top quality case.....anyway hope everyone is loving this phone as much as I am. :)

So I noticed that the Note 4 coming with either a 4 core 2.7Ghz processor (N910F) or cat 6 or a 8 core 1.6 Ghz processor (N910G/h)

Which is better for a mobile device, a low 8 core or a higher 4 core processor?

If you plan on flashing, get the F, if you don't care to flash.... then it doesn't matter

Anyone have an issue where the capacitive buttons stop working, only fixed via restarting the phone? I can press them and they light up, but nothing happens. The rest of the screen is also fine. Currently running Action Launcher, thinking of going back to stock for a week to see if the issue goes away.
